Quilt Retreat

This last weekend was my group of friend’s Quilt Retreat weekend. We are in a new place as our other location shut down. This one only accommodates 9 of our 15 to 18 size group so that is a bummer but it was nice and close to town so if we forgot anything that was easily remedied. A quick run to the quilt shop was an easy option also.

The place was fully stocked with anything we could have needed.

Every room had a theme and were super cute and full of quilts. My room’s theme was Southwest. It is obvious the gals who own this are also quilters!

This bed was TALL, it has step stools to help you get on it. I am tall enough though that I did not need them. The other beds were normal height.

Yes, that is a crap load of wine bottles in the background (not quite 4 days worth). Those girls love their wine, me, I am not a wine drinker….instant headache. I DID learn you only get about 4 glasses out of a bottle of wine though. I did have some Bailey’s on ice before bed every night though. Thought about a whiskey hot tottie to try and get rid of the cough I was hanging on to. Laughing made my cough worse.

I completed 3 projects this weekend. One for my husband, a horsey one for my Mom and borders on my bee one from last year. If I had been on my A game I could have gotten more done!

There were a lot of other awesome quilts being made that weekend also. It was so fun and we had such a blast!

If you are ever in our neck of the woods the retreat center is:

Prairie Chicken Coop in Sidney, MT

She is still working on getting her Facebook Page up and running and a website. I will post on that when it is available.

Where is your favorite retreat spot?

Always,

Gentrie
